thanks for sending me my letter I sent you. I will touch the letter up and make it alittle bit more detailed rather then a letter to letter manner. Hopefully I will have this story thoughter soon. So far after looking at it, its about 5 pages long.

Well the saga continues.

I talked to Keith and they want me to go out to Cali and see whats going on. He also told me that they are getting 20-30 complaints from ITR owners about their kits a week. He said that they are working on some permanent resolutions and that in the near future there should be a fix. Mine seems to be an extreme case.

Originally I was told to never adjust or do anything to the Jackson FPR (billet aluminum fuel thing). Last night i did some experimenting and some investigating...(like we all did as little kids...you know taking it apart and such). The adjustment screw from all the way in to no longer making contact with the spring is 5 and 3/4 turns. As shipped from JR it is all the way in and backed out 1/8 of a turn. Today i tried backing it out 4 turns and then drove to work. It still runs rich at WOT, but seems to have a little more power in the vtec range as well as the entire power band. I may try it to the screw is putting no pressure on the tension spring and see what happens....my guess is that it will still run rich. Have any of you tried running without the FPR at all...just curious. I know that without the JRSC and without the FPR it runs very rich in vtec and i think that that richness may be enough for 5.5 psi of boost and keep some of the power. My only concern is detonation, but the J&S is not picking any up yet.

I'm expecting a call from someone from Moss/JR on Tuesday (probably Keith) letting me know when to come out there. My current feelings are that unless i can feel a noticeable difference once they look at it then i'm going back to NA.

Last night I tried a litle something.....a friend in an SI was in what sounded like 2nd or 3rd and was right at the edge of vtec. and I was next to him in 2nd at about 5600 rpm going about 35-40mph. He actually had more power once we both stomped on it...and his sounded so much nicer. He was NA and it sounded like the rapture was happening and the trumpets were blaring.

I envy you guys who live in California. It's a hell of a drive for me (KC,MO) to "swing by" JR's shop. If I come out for Laguna Seca next spring/summer, I'd schedule a visit to see Oscar Jackson personally.

The reason the Si sounded powerfull, was because I bet he had a intake. Those stupid intakes will make anything sound crazy. As for your car, the JR trip might help. If anything they will get it at least running like the rest of us. If what Keith said is true then JR sould be doing alot about this. As for 20+ complaints a week, well I doubt that. I know almost every JRSC R owner minus maybe 15 at most. I think the complaints are just us complaining on this board.
Anyway yeah if you all want I might consider a trip down their to help with you guys. I doubt JR can do anything for me now since I already fixed every problem. Even though I fixed the problem, I would still like what ever you guys get or maybe even a check instead for the cost of the fix to help aid my exprensive tuning and research I did. In fact I will even consider helping them if htey need it since I'm now making 220whp with stock boost. Anyway, great job and thanks for the extra help with the JR problem. I'm sure you will seeing good numbers soon.
